Starchild was inspired by the colors and movement of the dichroic cabochons. All I could think of were the galaxies that surround us. Different semi-precious stones act as planets and silver-lined crystal and gray seed beads makeup the star traveler. This hefty piece is finished with a sterling silver clasp and beautifully soft black leather as backing. The total piece weighs in at approximately a pound. The straps are done in RAW (right angle weave) stitch and are quite strong.

The body of the piece, including length of fringe, is 12.5 inches long and 8.5 inches wide. With the width at the top of the piece plus the straps, it is 20.5 inches around the neck. I don't have an exact number of hours, but if I had to guess, I'd say there's close to 500 hours in this piece and she will never be reproduced.
